he Department of Political Science, The IIS University, organized a Preamble reading session on 26^th November, 2015 to celebrate 125^th birth Anniversary of Bharat Ratna, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. The purpose of organizing this event was to increase the awareness regarding the Indian Constitution amongst the students and citizens, as on this day our Constitution was enacted by the Constituent Assembly. The constitution being a vital document helps in carrying out country’s operations by laying down the national goals, which are Democracy, Socialism, Secularism and National Integration. This Preamble reading session was a tribute to the founding fathers and Dr. B.R.Ambedkar, who was the chairman of the Drafting Committee. The political ideas set in the preamble of the constitution affirm our faith in Justice, Liberty, Equality and Fraternity. The Vice Chancellor , Dr. Ashok Gupta led this preamble reading session  along with the entire faculty of The IIS University and also addressed the session. He spoke about the Indian Constitution and the significant contribution of its makers who took responsibility to unite the nation as one. The session ended with a vote of thanks by the Head, Department of Political Science, The IIS University.
