Objective: 

The objectives of this course are to:

 1.The purpose of the course is to provide a thorough background in all schools of IR theory

2. It will acquaint the students to understand the debates between various theorists regarding their perspective on the nature of international politics

3. The course will provide analytical understanding of the new themes emerging in the field.

4.This course provides a concise survey of how theory is relevant in reading between the lines, to understand and correlate theory and practice

CO121:   Develop overall understanding of various theories in International Relations

CO122: Reflect comprehensively on the importance of application of theories in the global context and the competent interests of state and non state actors

CO123: Develop understanding of various strands of theories and correlate theory with practice .

CO124: Equip with conceptual tools necessary to efficaciously comprehend the fundamental forces, processes and actors, militating within the international system through the theoretical debates in International Relations CO125:Conceptualise, understand and judge theoretical traditions, bearing in mind their geo-cultural specificities.
