Objective of the workshop/seminar/activity:  To make the students oriented about the tough tasks of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel in the integration of India .

 Summary/Description (max 500 words): 

 Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel is also known as the Iron Man of India. He is remembered as a very strong and dynamic freedom fighter of India. He had actively contributed to the Indian Freedom Movement. Sardar Patel was one of the most eminent and prominent leaders of the Indian Freedom struggle. He has immense contribution in bringing Independence to our country.

Department of Political Science conduct a documentary screening of movie “Sardar” on eve of Constitution Day. The movie “Sardar” present the biography of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel and his continuous effort to integrate the India by merge the provinces under Independent India. His constant and laborious effort unified India under one umbrella. The documentary presents the struggle faces by Vallabh Bhai Patel .The documentary also focuses on the role of Vallabh Bhai Patel in India independence struggle. The documentary proves beneficial to students to understand the ground reality on the eve of independence and partition of India. In the end of documentary, Dr Ruchika S Rathi and Latika Yadav conducts the quiz based on the incidents of Vallabh Bhai Patel .The prizes distributed among the students who answered rightly.
