Summary/Description (max 500 words):
The Department of Political Science, IIS (Deemed to be University) organized an Exhibition to help the students understand the horrors witnessed by people during the partition and to commemorate the sufferings of the victims during that dark period in the Indian history. The Exhibition was inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor of the University Dr.Ashok Gupta. The Exhibition lasted till 17 August 2022. A brief overview regarding the Exhibition and its aim and objectives was presented by Dr. Archana Gupta , Head , Department of Political Science. The Exhibition was open to all the students of the university and was attended by the students of different streams . A conscious effort was made by the department to remind the participants regarding the largest displacement of human population in the last century, which also resulted in loss of life , basic identity and material possessions of a large number of people .
The exhibition was successful in enlightening young minds and received an overwhelming response from the participants across the board.
Outcome of the activity/event/seminar/workshop: The Exhibition was successful in portraying the sufferings of millions of people during partition of India and create a basic understanding among students regarding the partition horrors.
