Summary/Description (max 500 words):
On the occasion of Constitution Day, a quiz competition was organized by the department of Political Science and International Relations 26th November 2024 to enlighten all the students about the importance of Constitution Day. The event aimed to celebrate the adoption of the Indian Constitution and enhance students' knowledge about constitutional provisions, rights, duties, and the history of its formation. The competition was open to the students of the department and witnessed enthusiastic participation among students.
Event Details The quiz competition was held in the A.V. Hall and commenced at 11:00 AM. The event was inaugurated by the HoD Dr Archana Gupta, who addressed the gathering on the significance of Constitution Day and the importance of being aware of our constitutional rights and duties.
The quiz covered various topics, such as the Preamble, Fundamental Rights, Directive Principles of State Policy, key amendments, and the role of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar in drafting the Constitution.
The highlight of the celebration was an engaging and dynamic quiz session The quiz covered a broad spectrum of topics, including:
Adding a creative dimension to the quiz, an audio round featured recordings of prominent Indian leaders. Students were challenged to identify the voices of political figures and associate them with significant constitutional developments, thereby enhancing their auditory and contextual learning.
Conclusion The Constitution Day Quiz Competition was a resounding success. It not only provided students with a platform to showcase their knowledge but also helped in fostering awareness about the Indian Constitution. The event reinforced the values of democracy, justice, and equality among students. The faculty and students expressed their appreciation for the organizers and hoped for more such engaging events in the future.
