Dissertation- I

Course Rationale:

Ø      To create awareness regarding current trends, issues and research as related to various aspects of Political Science.

Ø      Inculcating an interdisciplinary / comparative approach to research

Ø      Updating knowledge in pertinent areas of research.

Ø      To acquaint the students with research methodology

Ø      To orient the students to the techniques of documentation

The students will undertake a project chosen by them in consultation with their supervisors. They will be required to prepare a Synopsis and submit a report.

The division of marks will be as follows:

Internal evaluation:30 marks, on the basis of regularity, data collection, contact with the supervisor, originality of the work

Seminar and viva voce-70 marks

There will be a subject expert and two departmental examiners, one of whom will be the supervisor.
