Objective of the workshop/seminar/activity: To pay homage the victims and sufferings of people during 26/11 Mumbai terror attack

Summary/Description (max 500 words): 

The Department of Political Science, IIS (Deemed to be University) organized a documentary screening session  to help the students understand the horrors witnessed by people during the Mumbai terror attacks and to pay homage to the dedication and sacrifice of the Indian Armed Forces while tackling the attack and capturing the terrorists. A brief overview regarding the 26/11 attack and its impact on the morale of India and its citizens was presented by Dr. Archana Gupta , Head , Department of Political Science. The Exhibition was open to all the students of the Political Science Department of the  university . A willful effort was made by the department to help the students grasp the severity of the attack , the threat it possessed to the sovereignty and integrity of India as a nation , the psychological reasoning behind perpetrating a terror attack , the way Indian Government reacted to protect its territory and the extraordinary service by the Indian Armed Forces.

The session was successful in enlightening young minds and received an overwhelming response from the participants across the board.

Outcome of the activity/event/seminar/workshop: The session was successful in achieving its objectives and informing the students about the nitty gritty of 26/ 11 attacks.
