Summary/Description:
Report on Black Day for India Pulwama Attack
On February 14, 2025, The IIS University observed the sixth anniversary of the Pulwama Attack by organizing a heartfelt signature campaign to pay tribute to the 40 CRPF jawans who lost their lives in the deadly terrorist attack of 2019. This attack, carried out by a suicide bomber in Lethapora, Pulwama district, remains one of the darkest days in India’s recent history. The incident, claimed by the Pakistan-based terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammad, caused deep sorrow across the nation and raised tensions between India and Pakistan.
To honour the memory of the brave soldiers, February 14 is marked as ‘Black Day’. This day reminds us of the ultimate sacrifice made by our soldiers, and it is a time for us to stand together in unity and respect.
At The IIS University, the event began with a deep sense of patriotism and respect. The Head of Department (HoD) led the campaign by encouraging everyone to join in and express their tribute to the Pulwama martyrs. Her inspiring words set the tone for the event, and soon, both students and staff members gathered to take part.
As the campaign gained momentum, Registrar Ma’am Rakhi Gupta also joined the event, adding more meaning and enthusiasm to the cause. Her presence inspired everyone, and she praised the efforts of the students and faculty who had worked hard to make the event successful.
Various posters were created by students to showcase their feelings of patriotism and love for the country. These posters displayed powerful messages, emotional quotes, and images that reminded everyone of the sacrifices made by the brave soldiers. The atmosphere was filled with a mix of sorrow, respect, and national pride.
The signature campaign allowed students and faculty to write heartfelt messages in remembrance of the Pulwama heroes. Everyone bowed their heads in silence and respect, paying tribute to the soldiers who lost their lives while protecting our country.
Teachers and faculty members actively participated in the campaign, showing great enthusiasm and support. Their involvement showed how united we are as a community in remembering the bravery and courage of our soldiers. Many shared their thoughts and emotions, appreciating the jawans’ selfless service and expressing their gratitude.
The event was not just about remembering a tragic incident but also about standing together and honoring the indomitable spirit of our armed forces. The campaign reminded us that though these soldiers are no longer with us, their sacrifice lives on in our hearts.
As the day came to an end, the sense of pride and respect remained strong. The IIS University community stood united to honor the martyrs of Pulwama. Through this campaign, we not only remembered their sacrifice but also renewed our promise to never forget their courage.
