Objective of the workshop/seminar/activity:   To make the students oriented about the budgetary process, types of budget and new initiatives in budget.

Summary/Description (max 500 words): 

The Department of Political Science and International Relations, organised an informative session by the students of Political Science, followed the Interim Union Budget (2024-25) discussion session followed by poster presentation prepared by the students with the aim to enrich the knowledge of budget preparation stages and its formulation. The stage was open to the students to share some more information and facts regarding the budget. The event was joined by the Department faculties Dr Archana Gupta (HoD), Dr. Deepshikha Parashar, Dr. Ruchika S. Rathi, followed by the students of B.A. (Pass Course), B.A.(Honours), M.A. (Political Science), M.A. (International Relations) of all the semesters.

IV Semester Honours U.G. students and IV Semester P.G. students of the department prepares their presentation on number of theme relate to Budget which includes budget meaning and significance, formation and execution of budget, six stages in presentation of budget, performance budgeting , zero based budgeting, various grants, types of budgeting, overview of current budget 2024 as a interim budget. Through their presentation, students try a lot to showcase the ‘mantra’ of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, and Sabka Vishwas’ and the whole of nation approach of “Sabka Prayas”. The poster exhibition provides a detailed view on budget to others students of department.
