The Departments of Political Science and Public Administration organized a study tour to the Sansad Bahwan and the Rashtrapati Bhawan, New Delhi, on 10th and 11th August 2018. 38 students from the Departments of Political Science and Public Administration and 2 faculty escorts, Dr. Archana Gupta and Dr. Neha Tiwari participated in the tour.
On the first day, after visiting India Gate, the group reached the Sansad Bhawan. After a number of security checks, the group entered the Lok Sabha. For one hour( which is the stipulated time duration given to a group), the students observed the working of the highest law making body of India. The deliberations over the Arbitration Bill were going on which the students watched with curiosity and interest.
On the second day, the group reached the Rashtrapati Bhawan where the students were given a tour by a tour guide and they saw all the halls and the museums inside the Palace. The students were awestruck by its magnificence, design and grandeur. They got the experience of the massiveness of the Lutyen architecture. It was an enjoyable and informative experience.
