Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: CO7: Assess the administrative, financial, judicial, and interstate systems proposed in Manusmriti, Arthashastra, and Shukraniti, and analyze their relevance to contemporary governance. CO8: Evaluate the contributions of Ram Mohan Roy and Vivekananda to religious, social, and political thought, and assess their impact on Indian society during the colonial period. CO9: Compare and contrast the approaches of Gokhale and Tilak towards British rule, constitutional methods, and communal unity, and evaluate their significance in the Indian nationalist movement. CO10: Analyze the political ideas of Syed Ahmed Khan and Dadabhai Naoroji, focusing on their implications for secularism, social reforms, and economic policies in colonial India, and their contributions to the Indian nationalist movement. CO11: Formulate informed opinions on the relevance and applicability of the ideas and reforms proposed by these historical figures in addressing contemporary socio-political challenges in India and beyond.
