The course will enable students to understand concepts such as State, Sovereignty and Statehood, State Responsibility and Liability. It will introduce students to the principal treaties within international law and calls upon them to consider the context at hand in factual situations.

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: CO139: Understand the laws governing aerial navigation and outer space while analyzing the role of the United Nations in the settlement of international disputes. CO140: Identify various concepts surrounding the laws of war and its effects on various stakeholders CO141: Analyze the laws governing land, maritime, submarine and aerial warfare, including prohibited means, war stratagems, treatment of prisoners of war, and guerrilla warfare. CO142: Understand concepts such as war crimes, genocide, prize courts. Additionally, students will analyze the legal mechanisms for the termination of war CO143: Comprehend the concepts of neutrality including continuous voyage, contraband, blockade and unneutral service in international law CO144: Contribute effectively in Course specific interaction. |
