• To commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the 'Iron Man of India.'
• To encourage awareness about national unity, integrity, and patriotism among students.
• To engage students through an interactive and educational quiz competition on India’s unity and Sardar Patel’s contributions.
The Department of Political Science and International Relations organized a Quiz Competition on 31st October 2025 to celebrate National Unity Day (Rashtriya Ekta Diwas). The quiz aimed to educate students about the life and achievements of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and his significant role in uniting India.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from students who showcased their knowledge on topics such as the Indian freedom struggle, post-independence integration, and India’s national symbols. The quiz was conducted in multiple rounds, including General Awareness.
Questions also covered important topics such as national integration, India’s freedom struggle, unity in diversity, and Aatmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India).The activity aimed to combine technology with learning and to encourage students to understand how individual awareness contributes to a stronger and united nation. Through participation on the My Bharat App, students experienced a modern, interactive learning approach that connected them to the larger vision of “Ek Bharat, Aatmanirbhar Bharat.”
The quiz not only promoted intellectual curiosity but also strengthened the spirit of patriotism and national pride among students. It inspired them to appreciate the values of unity, self-reliance, and cooperation that are vital for India’s progress. Faculty members praised the initiative, noting that such digital educational activities empower students to engage meaningfully with the nation’s development goals.
Faculty members appreciated the active involvement and teamwork of the students. The quiz created an engaging and patriotic atmosphere, inspiring participants to value India’s unity and diversity and all participants received certificates of appreciation.
The event successfully achieved its aim of promoting awareness about national integration and civic responsibility, while also making learning enjoyable and competitive.
