Pulwama Attacks-3rd anniversary: Tribute to Martyrs

The Department of Political Science at THE IIS (Deemed to be University) conduct an activity to commemorate the 3rd anniversary of the Pulwama attacks as part of the ‘Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav.' A documentary screening session and group discussion were held on February 14, 2020, on the online platform TEAMS as a tribute to the martyrs of the Pulwama terror attacks. The Pulwama attack is one of India's deadliest attacks on the security personnel in Kashmir. When an explosives-laden vehicle rammed into a CRPF convoy in Pulwama in 2019, up to 40 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) men were killed. Since then, February 14 has been marked in India as a "black day." The documentary gives students detailed information about a series of events that occurred in Pulwama. The documemtary also acknowledge students about the disaster of terrorism.The activity was cordinated by Dr. Ruchika S Rathi .The others facaulty of department  DR.Arachna Gupta (HoD) , Dr Deepshikha Parashar and Prithvi Raj Chauhan Sir share their views on this Pulwama attack .Later on a discussion and debate session was organized online where students of Bachelor course express themselves .The activity was participated by 4 teachers and 88 students and was a very fruitful activity for students and teachers
